May 3, 2019, Terre Haute, IN – Simma Software, Inc. announced today the release of a high-performance raw CAN flash bootloader for a Texas Instruments multicore Concerto. The firm has now developed over 60 flash bootloaders for their growing global customer base supporting multiple interfaces including CAN (J1939, UDS, CANopen), RS232, and USB. The Simma designed bootloader comes with several optional custom design features such as encryption, authentication, and host application adapter and flashing protocol.

The Texas Instruments multicore Concerto MCU comes with a communications subsystem based on the industry-standard 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 CPU. In addition, the real-time control subsystem is based on TI’s proprietary 32-bit C28x floating-point CPU.

As Texas Instruments’ preferred CAN solutions provider to their global customer base, Simma Software has a long history of working with all the various TI microcontroller families. The firm continues to expand their CAN based products including MCU specific CAN-FD device drivers, higher level CAN protocol stacks, and flash bootloaders.
